    Interested in deeper engagement in God’s mission to love and heal the world? Join us for a webinar that will equip you with the tools to help your parish prayerfully discern and engage in work on social and ecological justice.
    In July 2023, the Anglican Church of Canada (ACC) and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) gathered for Assembly 2023. The theme was Let there be Greening, based on Revelation 22:1–2: “…the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” A Parish Engagement Resource for social and ecological justice was developed and shared with Assembly.

  10. The Essex Deanery Lay Leadership Training Classes:  Lay leadership courses for 2024.

  • Governance Coordinator
    The Diocese of Huron of the Anglican Church of Canada, based at Huron Church House in London, Ontario is seeking a full time Governance Coordinator.  The successful candidate will support the Secretary-Treasurer in governance and administrative and in the administration of the Diocesan Synod Office.


    Major Duties: 
  • Is responsible for organizing registration for Synod meetings and on-going communications regarding Synod meetings.
  • Acts as an event co-ordinator for meetings of Synod and other off-site meetings as required including liasing with venues and service providers as necessary and preparing billing and payment documents for approval.
  • Completes Synod Journal and other post-Synod processes including letters, reports and minutes and updates.
  • Prepares Licences and General Permits for Clergy and Licences for Licensed Lay Readers as directed by the Archdeacon, Episcopal Office
  • Prepares documentation for ordinations and Oaths and Declarations
  • Provides meeting support for several Diocesan committees including overseeing set-up, managing Zoom, assisting with agenda formation, sending out meeting materials and producing minutes.
  • Assists the Secretary-Treasurer in tracking the implementation of the Diocesan Plan.
  • Provides administrative support to the Secretary-Treasurer as required
  • Has oversight for on-site records management and record retention including the development and implementation of related policies and procedures

  • PWRDF Huron Facilitators Needed: Mapping the Ground We Stand On.
    Follow this link to the position description which details what this volunteer position involves. The application form gives some background about the Mapping Exercise and asks prospective facilitators to answer a series of questions to help us assess "fit." As those of you who have experienced the Mapping Exercise, this role involves both good presentation and group facilitation and listening skills for handling what can sometimes be individuals' responses to sensitive issues. 

    We are looking in particular for candidates based in the Diocese of Huron. 
    The deadline for APPLICATIONS is April 30 and the training is scheduled for July 5-6 in Toronto. Submission info is in the application.
